Ten Jaguar I-PACEs have joined Berlin's largest chauffeur company's fleet.
The all-electric cars will be used for RocVin's private and business hire business, as well as ferrying around the country’s political figures, as they begin operation as part of Germany’s largest private limousine service.
At a handover ceremony in Berlin, Professor Dr. Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover presented the electric fleet to Thomas Mohnke, Managing Director of the SafeDriver Group of which RocVin is a member. At the press conference, Dr Speth said that the I-PACE can become a catalyst of change, adding:
“This new mobility era feels much quieter and enjoyable than any before. We are firmly convinced that our I-PACE will persuade people of electric mobility.”
RocVin has prepared for the arrival of its new fleet of Jaguar I-PACEs by renovating its underground garages and installing 16 electric car chargers.
This is the second fleet of I-PACEs being used on the streets of Germany, following the commissioning of 10 I-PACEs to Munich Taxi Centre in July.
