Members of the Black Country Urban Industrial Mission (BCUIM) have paid a visit to the EMC
The EMC has hosted a
tour by the Black Country Urban Industrial Mission (BCUIM).
The group, all of whom are involved in connecting the
church and the economy, support a number of parishes across the Black
Country area. They came on a tour of the facility as part of a planned annual visit to help connect their members with industry in which their parishioners work.
They enjoyed a tour of the EMC’s Machining Hall, hearing how as part of the process a steel liner is inserted into an aluminium block and were fascinated by the
crank machining process.
The group also found out more about the vision and
values of the EMC, specifically the importance of all employees in ensuring quality
processes and saw the engine being built in the EMC’s Diesel Assembly Hall.
