Green-fingered colleagues from Itatiaia facility have been celebrating Brazil's Arbor Day by planting 250 new tree saplings.
The volunteers helped transplant the seedlings, each a native species from the rainforest, as they aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental preservation. This activity was especially poignant given the recent destruction of the Amazon rainforest.
João Mattosinho, Itatiaia’s Operations Director, said: “Our ambition is to contribute to a more sustainable environment and realise Jaguar Land Rover’s Destination Zero vision here in Brazil. We want to work closely with the local community to plant a total of 10,000 seedlings over the next five years.”
