Look out for a new global Land Rover campaign that brings to life the ‘Capable of Great Things’ Defender marketing positioning.
It focuses on the Defender family, building on the successful launch of 90, 110, Hard Top, PHEV and V8. The premise is a make-believe island where only Land Rovers exist. We shot the footage in Morocco using several Defender models and accessories. They perform various ordinary 'day to day' activities – but in a truly extraordinary Defender fashion. There’s a car wash in a waterfall, wild horses at traffic lights and speed bumps the size of mini mountains. This will be appearing on TV, Social Media, Editorial, Direct Marketing and Retailer Communication.

The UK is the first market to go live and will enable even more people fall in love with Land Rover. This exhilarating commercial will be aired from Wednesday 12 January for four weeks across all key domestic TV channels such as ITV, C4 and Sky, including Video On Demand.
In the UK, the TV commercial will be supported with matching assets across social channels and retailers, as well as via the ‘DARK SKIES’ Photo Expedition in February. This Defender-based media expedition will see 10-15 lifestyle media and influencers drive to Galloway Park in Scotland, the UK’s first dark sky park. They will take part in a number of activities that demonstrate the capability and technology of their vehicles and photograph a perfect night sky from their Defender. The related earned coverage will drive awareness and emotional connection for the Land Rover brand in important titles.
