Scott Meenagh retains his place on Great Britain's 2017 Invictus Games team for Toronto
Castle Bromwich is thrilled to hear that former Paratrooper and recent plant visitor Scott Meenagh retains his place on Great Britain's 2017 Invictus Games team.
The 27-year-old, who lost both legs in an explosion in Afghanistan in 2011, is one of the many injured Paratroopers supported by the JJ Memorial Fund, set up in honour of Pte Jeff ‘JJ’ Doherty who was killed while on patrol in Afghanistan.
Castle Bromwich employee Steve Gaut recently won the title of Fundraiser of the Year at Coventry Telegraph’s Coventry and Warwickshire Heroes Awards for his support for the charity.
Scott paid Castle Brom a visit earlier in the year to offer this thanks to the plant for all of their donations and in return we wish him the very best of luck for the games next month.
Scott will be competing in athletics (100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 1500 metres, 4x100 metres relay) and rowing.
Good luck to Scott and all the other athletes taking part in Toronto from everyone here at Castle Bromwich!
