Earlier this week a team from the Castle Bromwich Press Shop equipped with paint brushes and rollers headed to Square Peg Activities in Sutton Coldfield to help them with a complete office makeover.
The charity work with children and adults with a range of additional needs. They are passionate about ensuring that these children don’t miss out on having fun by creating spaces they can play in a non-competitive, judgement free environment.
The team set about transforming the spaces by painting and decorating the two rooms and even sourced new carpets to complete the look.
“The team from Castle Bromwich have been fantastic,” said Sharon Needham, Director at the charity. “The rooms are looking great and will create a much nicer environment for us to work and host parent support sessions in, we can’t thank them enough for their superb effort.”
A big shout out to Press Shop’s Peter Perkins, Liam Creevy, Richard Small, Anthony Higgins, Lloyd Broadhurst, Paul Copestick and Gavin Cooper for their hard work.
“The last couple of days have been brilliant and it has felt great to be making a difference to this charity that does some fantastic work in our community,” said Peter. “A few of the team have been showing off their artistic flair and their rollering skills too. All in all it’s been great fun and we’ve started to think up ways that we can continue to support the charity in the future too.”
The team would also like to pass on their thanks to Mohammed, Emma and Tango at B&Q Castle Vale, Sharif and the team from Kingsbury Carpets and Mick Greensall from Leadec for helping supply and transport the materials to support the volunteering activity.
Congratulations and well done all.
