Once again Castle Bromwich turns up the heat and proved ourselves worthy by supporting MacMillan’s World’s Largest Coffee Morning’ campaign, raising £435 for the charity.
Serving up a selection of home baked treats the bakers and money-makers from our MP&L team hosted events across the plant.
After setting up stalls in R Block and H Block this year they even offered up a mobile ‘on-the-dough’ service made possible by Gilbert Curry Industrial Plastics, who supplied boxes to enable the team to carry the cakes to employee rest areas around the site.
“It’s been fantastic to work together to raise so much money for such a great cause,” said Linda Smitten, a Senior Project Analyst at the plant. “Many of us have been touched by cancer in one way or another, so recognise and value the great work done by MacMillan. A huge thanks to everybody at Castle Bromwich for being so amazingly generous with their donations”
A big shout out to Darren Leo, Clare Christoforou, Nazia Parveen, Sarah Clarke, Linda Smitten, Katie Bower, Ricky Snape, Matt Bailey, Kirsty Brocklehurst, Laki Pouni, Josh Tokley, Ian Glover, Yasir Rashid and Jason Chung for their fantastic effort.
The ‘World’s Largest Coffee Morning’ campaign, is an annual event run by MacMliian that began way back in 1990 and has grown every year into their biggest fundraiser to help them battle cancer. If you’d like to find out more and show your support go to coffee.macmillan.org.uk
