Sports Car Sports Day - Wellbeing open day in the Sports Car Facility
Sports Car Facility put health and fitness at the top of their agenda recently after holding Wellbeing event that helped colleagues to see if they were in tip-top shape.
The event, which took over the block’s Off Track Area, had various stalls ranging from boot camp sessions, boxercise and step tests to opportunities to sign up for health management services such as Slimming World and gym memberships.
Castle Bromwich’s Occupational Health team were also on hand to check blood pressures, cholesterol levels and general health along catering suppliers Compass who installed a live kitchen to showcase healthy recipes and snacks that colleagues could take home with them.
The activities driven by a TIC team, associate volunteers and area leadership saw team members stop at various stations on a rotating basis to make sure they got a taste of everything on offer.
Sports Car Facility area manager Gregg Niblett said: “It was a great event for all involved. I think we’re all guilty sometimes of not paying as much attention to our general wellbeing because we all lead busy lives but the feedback we’ve had was really positive.
“To see the team taking part with smiles on their faces and a bit of banter flying about was good for morale in the area but giving them support in how to make healthier choices was the main focus and everyone seemed to really take that on board.”
