Thanks to the continued, overwhelming support of our colleagues across the globe, more than 424 donors have now helped to raise £20,369 for the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal..
Global Brand and Partnerships and Global fleet teams are mobilising transportation of Land Rovers to support the Red Cross at the Ukraine border. To date, 10 vehicles have been transported to Europe with another transporter scheduled to depart from Gaydon today.
Land Rover is a long-standing humanitarian partner of the British Red Cross and their current guidance is to continue to provide financial donations above other forms of aid in order to help prioritise what is critically needed on the front line and respond quickly. These donations are being used to help affected individuals receive food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes and shelter in a timely manner. In the lead image, the Hungarian Red Cross can be seen responding to the crises at the Nyugati railway station in Budapest.
Mike Adamson, CEO of the British Red Cross commented "Thanks to your support, Red Cross staff and volunteers are able to help communities prepare for, respond to and recover from crises. From ensuring Red Cross teams can mobilise immediately through the Disaster Fund, as they are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries, to building the resilience of communities around the world, to helping people get back on their feet after crisis in the UK, together we are making a vital difference.”
As a global team our thoughts remain with our friends, colleagues and partners in Ukraine, Slovakia, Russia and beyond, who have been touched by the current events. Jaguar Land Rover's first priority is the wellbeing of our entire workforce and their loved ones, as well as those within our extended network.
If you or a colleague need support, we have a wealth of resources available on our wellbeing website, or you can speak to your line manager for further resources and advice.
