A team of green-fingered volunteers from Solihull recently partnered up with the The Woodland Trust to plant over 400 trees in the local community.
The saplings, which were planted at Hobs Moat and Elmdon Park, will now continue to grow over the next few years, benefitting the area's wildlife and ecology.
The project was organised by Jenny Jones and Kathryn Thomas from the Material Planning & Logistics team. Jenny commented: “As a responsible business, JLR is committed to making our societies safer, healthier, and the environment cleaner through its Destination Zero mission. Planting the trees was hard work but it’s really rewarding to play our part in reaching this goal.”.
The news comes as Jaguar Land Rover was recently awarded Carbon Trust accreditation across its UK manufacturing sites for the second year running.
