DRIVING DESTINATION ZERO ACROSS OUR PROPULSION SUPPLY CHAIN
Jaguar Land Rover
100 Propulsion Supply Partners came together last week to understand more about our Destination Zero Vision and their role to play in supporting our future at the 2019 Supplier Forum hosted by Company Quality and STA.
Propulsion plays a vital role in the future of our
business as we move from Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to Autonomous
Connected Electric Shared (ACES). Propulsion Supply Partners will help us deliver the
vital technology to support this transformation and help drive our Business into
the future. This involves the production of vital components which
will underpin JLR’s new Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA).
Our suppliers heard from various Senior Leaders including Neil Marsons
- Global STA and Programmes Director, Judith Richardson - Global Purchasing
Director and Nigel Blenkinsop - Director - Company Quality and Automotive
Safety to understand what action is being taken by JLR to drive
transformational change to build a successful future. Topics
discussed included the role Supply Partners play in our Quality strategy and
delivery as well as an insight into our future propulsion strategy. The new
JLR blueprint was also shared, highlighting the three blueprint
Passions; Quality, Innovation and Profitability which underpin the
topics discussed throughout the event.
The event included the recognition of the 2019 Supplier
Excellence in Lean Learning (SELL) Winners who have demonstrated relentless drive for continuous improvement within their respective businesses. As part of the
agenda, both workshop activities and a sharefair were included to drive best
practice between JLR and attending Supply Partners.
Rita Davey, Quality Improvement Manager, said “These events allow us to engage with our
Supply Partners and discuss the need for collaborative working to drive
continuous improvement throughout our supply chain which will deliver quality
products for our Customers”.
