Dua Lipa has given music fans the opportunity to remix her latest single ‘Want to’ thanks to a collaboration with Jaguar.
The global singer-songwriter launched her new track at an
exclusive gig in Amsterdam, with the song already becoming the most remixed
song ever, as fans and stars across Europe create and share their own unique
mix, including supermodel Doutzen Kroes and actress Alix Benezech.
The software allows fans to use their driving style,
favourite songs or own rhythm to remix the song. Using the Jaguar E-PACE,
F-PACE and I-PACE thousands of intelligent sensors, the InControl infotainment
system captures six data sets, including information on braking and
accelerating, energy gained from regenerative braking, energy consumption, to
average speed and direction.
This data is then uploaded to the cloud using the vehicle’s
4G connectivity, where the ‘Dua Lipa x Jaguar’ track software analyses it and creates
a personalised remix. Dua Lipa said it’s mind-blowing that anyone can create a
unique version of her track based on how they drive. She added:
“It’s crazy to think that the data from my drive in the
Jaguar I-PACE can alter the energy of my music to create a totally new and
incredible sound.”
This collaboration is also the latest example of Jaguar
creating a more connected experience for drivers, with Connected Car engineer
Matt Peirce saying that the intelligent sensors are designed to personalise the
driving experience and excite the senses. He added:
“We could see this type of music technology built into every
Jaguar in the future. This would mean working with more music artists in the
future to create similar tracks that can respond to the way you drive.”
You don’t have to be driving a Jaguar SUV to create your own
Dua Lipa remix, as the web-based app can use music data to produce a unique
version for Spotify users. Or you can create your own rhythm by simply tapping
your mobile device.
Dua Lipa’s gig in Amsterdam was also the unveiling of The
Pace: Season One, which will give fans across Europe a chance to create their
own bespoke remixes from behind the wheel of Jaguar’s SUVs at a number of
special events throughout the remainder of 2018 and into 2019.
