Dutch Farm provides a therapeutic environment that allows visitors to take part in different creative activities.
When Dutch Farm began their mission was to engage homeless people in practical and sustainable food related projects that inspire health and well-being and celebrate the diverse nature of communities in Merseyside.
With a lot of hard work and commitment from their small team of staff and residents they have a thriving urban farm that has stayed true to its mission.
The farm is full of chickens, pigs, vegetable beds, poly tunnels, green houses and a small arts and crafts centre.
We’ve previously supported the project with 100 Associates lending their support in the building of the poly tunnels and raised planters.
More recently a team from Halewood supported them for three days and built an animal enclosure from recycled materials donated from local sources.
The volunteers also cleared a section of land and created a winter enclosure with hard standing and feeding troughs for the animals.
Well done to: Gregg Williams, Tommy Kilgallon, Lee Messham, Louis Healey, Andrew Cunningham and Joey Stocks.
