Our Education Business Partnership Centres in Solihull, Gaydon and Halewood are running exciting, hands-on activities for primary and secondary school pupils during the summer holidays which will support learning and personal development.
Courses are open to the children of colleague’s friends and families, but young people can only apply for one course each (excluding Halewood) due to high demand.

MIDLANDS
Marketing at Jaguar Land Rover
Wednesday 1 to Thursday 2 August 2018, Solihull, Ages 14 – 18, £75pp
Jaguar and Land Rover are two of the world’s most iconic luxury brands. Every day we are reaching more customers, and our network of well over 2,000 dealerships continues to expand around the world. As our global marketplace extends further, we need to provide more customers than ever before with an unrivalled experience.
Students will develop an impressive launch pitch for the all new Jaguar I-PACE, our first electric vehicle. The course also includes presentations from our global marketing team and a Coventry University talk on pathways into Marketing. Student will also get to see a Range Rover customer vehicle reveal which involves the world first 3D laser mapping on a moving vehicle.
Design Week
Tuesday 14 – Friday 17 August 2018, Gaydon, Ages 12 – 16, £150pp
At Jaguar Land Rover, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible, challenging ourselves and continually evolving to create unique cars that people feel a profound emotional connection with.
During the course, we will introduce students to the world of automotive design. Activities will include sketching and rendering workshops, clay and foam modelling activities and a behind-the-scenes tour of our design studio. Children will complete a future car technology design brief set by our top designers to see what exciting innovations and ideas they can come up with.
Mountain Challenge
Tuesday 21 August 2018, Solihull, Ages 7-10, £50pp
Thursday 23 August 2018, Solihull, Ages 11- 14, £50pp
During the one day STEM course, students will get to grips with our remote control Land Rover 4x4 vehicles and take on our challenging mountain course. They will work in teams to build a bridge for their car successfully completing the course. To complete the day, our Land Rover Experience professional drivers will give the students the chance to experience exhilarating off-road driving in our award-winning vehicles.
Inspiring Futures
Wednesday 29 - Thursday 30 August 2018, Solihull, Ages 15-18, £75 pp
This short course focuses helps 15-18 year old students prepare for a career in engineering and includes assessment centre activities as well as preparing for successful interviews. We ask students to work on an idea for a new piece of technology for a Jaguar Land Rover vehicle and present this to the group to strengthen their presentation skills. Jaguar Land Rover apprentices will interview the students and give them feedback on their performance as well as explaining more about our advanced and degree apprentice programmes.

HALEWOOD
Summer Holiday Courses at Jaguar Land Rover Halewood
During the school Summer holidays, Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood Education Business Partnership Centre will be running a series of courses for young people interested in engineering and other related careers. The courses will be split between two age groups (see below for dates) and each course will include a comprehensive guided tour of the Halewood factory and a selection of hands-on activities designed to strengthen team building and engineering skills.
Participants will also have the opportunity to visit specialist areas of the Halewood production process that are not usually seen by visitors, and meet Jaguar Land Rover apprentices and other engineering staff to find out more about the world of work in a modern manufacturing facility. The courses will run from 09.00 until 4.00pm.
A payment of £80 per person – which can be made in advance by credit or debit card or paid on the day (by cheque only). Children will need to bring a packed lunch on both days.
