Have you met Georgie? Georgie works as part of the TIC Central team, which delivers TIC across the business, and is the TIC Engagement Lead for Halewood. Georgie has been helping our employees along their Team Improvement Circle journeys for the last four years.
Although she is based in the Midlands, Georgie has come to see Halewood as her home away from home and is on site every Tuesday where she is available to ‘talk all things TIC’, providing training, support and guidance to circles as they embark on their 10 step journeys.
Georgie shares with us why she thinks the Team Improvement Circle Programme helps to keep the business TICcing. She said:
“TIC is not just a buzz word - it can truly empower people to make positive changes to the business and themselves, it continues to shape the future of the business across every function that participates. The circles that I have had the pleasure of supporting over the years can not only use the new skills they have gained through TIC throughout their career, but in everyday life beyond JLR.”
She added: “It gives you the opportunity to engage with different people from across the business and build relationships with colleagues who you may have never otherwise had the opportunity to work with”. This year TIC has also teamed up with the JLR Technology Forum to help drive best practice and sustainability, which can help ensure that your circle’s theme is also sustainable for future generations at Halewood.”
Asked what she likes best about Halewood, Georgie said: “It’s the positive atmosphere and the laughter I get every time I visit, everyone is so friendly and I have been made to feel part of the Halewood family from my very first day on-site”.
“The people I meet here genuinely want the opportunity to improve and it’s a privilege to be able to support them through the process and to watch their ideas become a reality.”
Georgie works at Halewood every Tuesday.
