Last week, Halewood head of HR, Steph Stephenson, took to the stage of Crosby Comrades Club to present at a STEM conference, organised by local women's organisation, Soroptimist International of Crosby.
Steph was joined by Higher apprentice Danielle Flynn, Advanced apprentice Bethan Phillips and former JLR Halewood graduate, Sajni Hala, who is now based at Castle Bromwich.
Our Halewood heroines presented to more than 100 girls from seven Sefton secondary schools about studying STEM and why it is more important than ever to encourage more women to take the route into engineering.
Steph and Danielle also lit up the airways of Tony Snell’s BBC Radio Merseyside breakfast show, ahead of the afternoon’s event, where they discussed the opportunities available to women pursuing a STEM career.
Danielle, said: “As the only female apprentice in my year, I feel passionate about encouraging more women into engineering so was delighted to attend the event.”
