A few weeks ago we shared a story about a team of Production Leaders who usually work in Trim & Final but in recent weeks had turned their skills to working for Business Protection, to look after the site whilst most of us weren’t there.
As we welcome many of you back for your first day today we caught up with the team, made up of, Chris Clarry, Chris Thomas, Zac Simmons, Steve Gallagher and John Williams to find out how they amongst many others had supported getting the plant ready for your return.
The team have been busy testing the temperature check equipment, painting lines on the floor for social distancing and helping to set up the new break areas with many tables and chairs – that weren’t easy to find!
Last week they welcomed GL’s back and walked them through some of the changes around the plant and they’ll be doing the same this week for associates returning – answering any questions and helping to reassure people of the changes and safety procedures.
The team themselves will be returning to slightly different jobs, some on production, some on manning and cost saving projects and some in repair areas but they won’t forget their time with Business Protection.
John told us, “I think we appreciate the many roles that BP take, from fireman to first responder to site management of contractors, as well as looking after the security of the plant. I don't think any of us will walk through an access gate again without thinking of the person manning it.”
Well done team – you did a great job. Thank you for all your hard work.
