Last Friday (28 Feb) we were delighted to get together and celebrate our Kaizen of the month. We've seen many of you working on ideas and improvements and this is a great opportunity to recognise your hard work. At our Town Hall session 33% of you committed to working on a Kaizen in your area and it's great to see the progress some of you have already made. Keep them coming and next month it could be you!
First:
Tom Eagles with L551 Seat Belt Inspection
Tom identified repetition and waste on seat belt Inspections. This improvement has improved the sequence of inspections by reducing waste motion and process steps.
Second:
Steve Hughes with Paint Sealer ilo NVH patches for 20.5my PHEV
Paint Sealer Patches by saving on Cost. Steven worked alongside NVH, Body Engineering and VME teams to ensure their proposal delivered improvements, whilst maintaining cycle time. Read our next story in On Track to find out more about this fantastic idea.
Third
Kenny Grogan with Zone 14 Stn 10 Cowl Tops - error proofing
Error proofing on Stn 10 Cowl Tops. Error proofing on the cells detected the panel but Kenny suggested switching the point of detection to the baffle to detect missed ops in the process.
