Over the past three weeks, a quarter of our workforce has nominated good causes for the plant’s next ‘Charity of the Year’.
The following local charities secured the most nominations and have made it to the final voting stage:
Sunflowers Centre
Charlie's Chance Foundation
Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Claire House Children's Hospice
Shropshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes
We’ve invited each of the charities to submit a short article in this weeks People Talk explaining what they do, please take some time to read about these fantastic causes.
Final voting starts today (Monday 5 February) and will close on Friday 23 February. The charity which receives the most votes will be announced in March 2018 and will be the plant's charity of the year until March 2019. The Charity of the Year Committee will review the final results and may allocate a percent of total fundraising to some runners-up charities.
