To support us in reaching our ‘Destination Zero’ goal, the ML Safety team (our principal contractor for the AME Construction department) ran a competition for children to design a Christmas card with a workplace health or safety theme.
This was a great activity for the children to do and it also influences future behaviour in the work place.
The ML Safety Team, the contractors they engage with, Engineers from AME-C, AME, AME Construction and many more all took part.
The entries were judged by our judging panel (pictured above) which was made up of Claire Millington and Natalie Castilho from our Safety Team and Anthony Morris who is a Graduate in the AME Construction department.
The judges were very impressed with all the entrants, with Claire telling us, “It was a really difficult decision to make as all the children had put a lot of time and effort in their designs”.
The standard was really high, with many colourful and funny entries, all the children had spent a lot of time on their entries.
The eventual winner was Amber Paterson, daughter of Neil Paterson, AME-C Engineer. Who won, along with the two runners up, vouchers for Argos and everyone who took part received a selection box.
To further support the competition, Webber Engineering, Summit Scaffolding, Wirral Cladding and Martins Fixings all made a donation to our next charity of the year.
