As the summer draws to an end, sadly so does the Halewood Education Centre’s special holiday courses aimed at inspiring young engineers.
The courses – a blend of classroom activities and visits to specialist areas of the Halewood plant – went extremely well, mostly thanks to the excellent level of support received from all areas of the Halewood factory.
The pupils – from schools local and not so local - were given an extensive tour of the Halewood production process, and also took part in some of our fun, team-building activities, including Manual Dexterity testing, Bridge and Buggy Building and a brand new activity – The Wind Power Challenge.
A huge vote of thanks to everyone who donated valuable time and expertise to help the young people involved, including the Halewood EBPC staff for their much-needed help in the organisation, running and supervision of the courses.
The team are hoping to run similar courses during half-term breaks, so watch this space for news about future developments.
