We’re having a record-breaking year when it comes to Kaizens which is thanks to your hard work and to teams like Tim Parker, Phil Douglas and Alan Warburton who are the Kaizen Co-ordinators in Press.
Tim, Phil and Alan understand how Kaizens are helping us to RESET, eliminate waste and focus on cost savings, which supports our fantastic work across plant with Charge+.
The team really wanted to drive the Kaizen process within Press Shop and they’ve set-up training sessions across Press to show the teams how they can use the DPD screens to support their work with Kaizens, give advice on how to implement ideas and also how to close Kaizens. Getting everyone together hasn’t just improved the process though, it’s also helped the teams to work together across Press and think of even more ideas!
The team have already seen the numbers rise each month following the training, with increases in the numbers raised and the closure rate rising from 0% to a current closure rate of 66% against all Kaizens raised YTD – which is fantastic news!
Niall Ford, T&PPG Manufacturing Manager, told us, “The team who have been outstanding in their commitment to bringing Kaizens to life in the Press Shop.”
Dave Parry, our IPS Manager was also impressed with their great work, “The team have done a great job emphasising the importance of reviewing performance status vs target, empowering and encouraging individuals to identify opportunities and drive closure rate by alleviating roadblocks.”
Well done to everyone involved – we can’t wait to see even more Crackin’ Kaizens coming from the Press Shop!
