Following a successful ‘poster event’ 10 of our colleagues became ‘Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belts’ last week.
In addition to the two weeks of training completed at the end of last year, they had to show successful completion of a suitable project which they had the opportunity to showcase at the poster event. Where they got a really positive response.
Six Sigma is a problem solving technique, which provides a methodology (DMAIC-R) and a set of tools which ensure that problem solving teams, led by ‘belts’ can determine the root cause of an issue, resolve the issue and ensure that we do not experience that issue again.
Pictured receiving their certificates are, Josef Heesom, Rob Menzies, Colin Seed, Ross Wilkie, Simon Hughes, Alex Francey and Ross White. On the left of the picture is Mike Akers from SSA (the awarding body). Beth Christian, David Ragg and Jon Lewinton (not pictured) also achieved certification.
