This past year has seen an incredible effort across Halewood to champion Kaizen and has resulted in a record number of Kaizens raised!
Unfortunately, due to the current situation surrounding Covid 19 the plant and its kaizen drive was put on hold, preventing us from properly recognising the fantastic ideas and achievements from those nominated by each technology area. Last week the leadership team were finally able to celebrate our June winners for first, second and third prize.
Drum roll please.......
First:
T&PPG -James Tasker & Steve Hindley for Recommissioning of Fridges:
Due to Covid 19 we needed to find a way to be able to use our fridges whilst also keeping safe. The team have now segregated the fridges with Perspex and have a cleaning rota in place.
Second:
Paint Shop David Lynchehaun for Paint Kaizen Application
Paint Shop Kaizen Application: This fantastic applications allows colleagues to raise Kaizens at home or work through their mobile, using a link to Sharepoint. This has saved on cost, timing and has increased Kaizen Volume.
Third:
BiW - Michael Glynn & Daniel Brown for Cowl Top Baffle Relocation
Cowl Top Baffle Relocation to Zone 14 which has prevented stoppages in Framing due to poorly fitted baffles, previous location was an awkward fit and caused damage and parts scrapped.
