Forty-seven Indirect Areas Team Improvement Circles (TIC) showcased their brilliant improvements and innovations at the British Motor Museum last weekend.
Colleagues from HR, Central Quality, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Product Integration, Business Protection, Customer Experience, SVO, EVO and Finance, presented their projects and journeys of self-development to a panel of judges and their peers.
Introducing the day was Mark Trowbridge, Press Operations Director and Indirect Areas TIC Committee Chairman, who spoke about the importance of the programme and the honour of being able to engage with amazing and talented colleagues.
Across the business, more than 930 colleagues have been driving improvements in their local areas as part of the TIC programme – all with a common vision of making positive changes to their workplace and themselves.
Mark said: “One of the things I love about my job is that I get to engage with many TIC teams during their projects.
“I have had the opportunity to see the best engagement and innovation across Jaguar Land Rover – be it through Kaizens, the Innovation Challenge or TIC. The common thread is people are determined to improve themselves, our processes and our business.
“I have also been humbled by how people have overcome personal challenges. I’ve seen them doing things they never thought possible – if you dare to dream, the sky is the limit.”
After much deliberation the judging panel selected 14 teams to go through to the regional convention where they will face 42 other TIC teams from across the UK in September. Find out more about the 14 Indirect Areas Regional finalists.
