Forty-six EMC Team Improvement Circles (TIC) celebrated their achievements at the first of the local TIC conventions last weekend.
With more than 250 people in attendance, each team presented their project and the journey of self-development they had through the 10-step TIC process. After much deliberation, 12 teams made it through to the regional convention where they will face other TIC teams from across the UK.
Introducing the day, Trevor Leeks, EMC Operations Director and TIC Chairperson, spoke about the importance of TIC in supporting personal and professional growth.
Across the business, more than 930 colleagues have been driving improvements in their local area as part of the TIC programme – all with a common vision of making positive changes to their workplace and themselves.
Trevor said: “I’m incredible proud of all those who have helped to make TIC the biggest ever this year in the UK and globally.
“More people have got involved, which shows a commitment and tenacity amongst our colleagues to make positive changes. This demonstrates a passion for the future of our business. Everyone who gets through the process is already a winner, whether your journey ends at the local convention, or whether you make it through to the regional convention, or beyond.”
