Eighteen Team Improvement Circles went head-to-head at Brazil’s regional convention as they looked to book their place in Slovakia.
With the opportunity to represent Brazil at the Global TIC Convention up for grabs, the Itatiaia plant teams shared their TIC journey which began back in February.
Filled with plenty of inspiring and innovative projects, each team showcased their own personal TIC journey, and highlighted the opportunities they found and solved for the benefit of the business.
Team Sustenteibol was the victors on the day, with their project reusing 100 percent of the water generated by the fan coils, and as a result reducing the amount of water consumed by the cooling tower.
Adilson Sales, Mechanical Maintenance Technician and Sustenteibol Circle Leader, said: “TIC has given me a lot of personal and professional knowledge.
“I realised the importance of teamwork and learned how good quality tools can be used to solve everyday problems. I will take what I have learnt forward in my life.”
As team Sustenteibol will represent Brazil at the TIC Global Convention in Slovakia, this year will be remembered fondly by the plant. Three hundred colleagues attended the convention and team entries grew from five to 18 circles.
