Jaguar I-PACE scoops elEconomista’s Electric Car of the Year award

Readers of Spanish newspaper elEconomista have voted the Jaguar I-PACE as their Electric Car of the Year.

The current World Car and European Car of the Year added another accolade to its vast collection at the XEcoMotor Awards.

Unlike most awards where a judging panel chooses the winner, elEconomista’s readers voted in their numbers as they commended Jaguar’s first electric vehicle, as the newspaper said:

“With the unprecedented success that the I-PACE has had, it is with no doubt, that it will encourage Jaguar’s competitors in the luxury electric SUV segment to give their all.”

Collecting the award on behalf of Jaguar was Carmen Francés, Marketing Director at Jaguar Land Rover Spain and Portugal.   

Since its launch in March 2018, the Jaguar I-PACE has gone on to win 66 global awards including 2019 World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, World Green Car, European Car of the Year, China’s Green Car of the Year, and German, Norwegian, Scottish and UK Car of the Year.
