We have launched a recruitment campaign for 1,000 new positions – including 800 manufacturing operatives – for our factory in Nitra, Slovakia.
The new recruits will join Jaguar Land Rover’s current team of around 400 people either working onsite in Nitra or undertaking training in the UK.
Alexander Wortberg, Operations Director, said: “With construction of the plant almost complete and the installation of manufacturing technologies underway, we now need to recruit a world-class, passionate and dedicated team to help us prepare to build the our first vehicles in Slovakia.”

In September, Jaguar Land Rover’s first group of 12 maintenance technician trainees started studying Mechatronics at the Centre for Dual Education in Bratislava. During the second year, they will be the first trainees to work at Nitra plant. At the end of the traineeship, they will be fully qualified maintenance technicians supporting the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing line.
Jaguar Land Rover’s €1.4bn state-of-the-art factory will be at the forefront of aluminium manufacturing and engineering expertise in Slovakia, as the company continues to lead the automotive industry in the development of advanced lightweight technologies. It will manufacture a range of all-new aluminium Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, beginning with the Land Rover Discovery in late 2018, supporting the company’s on-going commitment to deliver high-tech lightweight cars to its customers.
