Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations has developed the ultimate Q car by creating a more restrained road version of the XE SV Project 8.
Based on the 200mph, 600PS, supercharged 5.0-litre V8 performance saloon, which currently holds production sedan lap records at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Dubai Autodrome and Laguna Seca, the Touring specification receives some revised aerodynamics.
A fixed spoiler replaces the Project 8’s adjustable carbon fibre rear aerodynamic wing, and is complemented with a fixed front splitter to maintain aerodynamic balance.
Despite these changes the collector’s edition car retains its on-road performance, as it is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 186mph.
Jamal Hameedi, Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations Engineering Director, said: “Project 8 has received outstanding critical acclaim since its launch, demonstrating the Special Vehicle Operations team’s ability to create a compact Jaguar sedan with supercar-rivalling performance.
“Touring specification extends the appeal of Project 8 to performance car enthusiasts and collectors who prefer a more discreet appearance, without compromising its driver-focused on-road dynamics.”
The new Touring specification will be limited to just 15 unique examples in four-seat configuration, each hand-built by SVO at its technical centre in Warwickshire.
Customers will have the choice of four body colours - Valencia Orange, Velocity Blue, Corris Grey Satin and British Racing Green.
