Jaguar XJs new and old stole the show at the 46th AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, Germany last weekend.
Celebrating the luxury saloon’s 50th anniversary, visitors were
treated to a selection of high profile XJs displayed on the Jaguar Curve. Cars on
display included Sir William Lyons XJ6, the Queen’s Mother’s Series I XJ12, the
last ever built XJ40, the powerful XJR 575 and the anniversary special XJ50.
These classic Jaguars were also joined by the Broadspeed XJC
12 touring car and members of the current family including the I-PACE eTROPHY
race car and the XE SV Project 8 super saloon.
Land Rover was also there celebrating its 70 year history by
showcasing a number of vehicles from across the period, from a Series I through
to the latest Range Rover Sport PHEV, including 2004 Range Stormer concept
There was plenty for the visitors to our stands to do during
the event including participating in an autograph session with former Formula
One drivers and cooking classes on Jamie Oliver’s Land Rover Discovery rolling
