Jose Mourinho inspires next generation of young footballers with the help of Jaguar

Jaguar brand ambassador and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho headed back to school to pass some of his wisdom on to the next generation.

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the successful Portuguese football manager arrived at Bishop Gilpin Church of England Primary School, Wimbledon in south-west London, in a XF Sportbrake stuffed full of new football equipment.

The former PE teacher and Real Madrid boss felt at home speaking to a class full of children as they quizzed him about his favourite school memories, Father’s Day and the naughtiest players he has worked with. He even went on to speak about the World Cup that kicks off this week and was optimistic about England’s chances in Russia, emphasising the importance of playing as a team as well as having great individuals.

“England have a good group of young, experienced players,” says Jose. “All of them play in the best domestic competition in the world and have experience of playing in the Champions League. So yes, I think they can do it.”
