Land Rover will be a Presenting Partner at The King’s Cup sailing event this August.
The inaugural eight-team regatta race will take place in Cowes, The Isle of Wight, as it raises awareness and funds for patronages selected by Their Royal Highnesses.
The charities supported include Child Bereavement UK, Centrepoint, Action on Addiction, Place2Be, The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, London’s Air Ambulance Charity 30th Anniversary Campaign, The Royal Foundation’s programme in support of Early Years, and Land Rover’s long-term conservation partner – Tusk Trust.
Prof. Dr. Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer, said: “Land Rover is proud to be the Presenting Partner for The King’s Cup. This is an exciting new addition to the sailing calendar with eight teams, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, competing for a prestigious, historic trophy to raise awareness and funds for eight charities chosen by Their Royal Highnesses.
“We have a strong relationship with sailing including grass roots work with sailing clubs to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers and sailors as well as the top of the professional sport. The King’s Cup ties in with our support for Lendy Cowes Week and the Cowes Sail GP event.”
