Land Rover has announced it’s the worldwide partner for both the Rugby World Cup 2019 and the Wheelchair Rugby World Championships (WRWC), reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the global sport.
This world and company first, saw the sponsorship deal
beginning at this year’s WRWC tournament in Australia, which saw Japan collect
the gold medal ahead of the host nation in the final.
Laura Woods, Head of Global Brand and Partnerships for Land
Rover said that it is fitting that Land Rover is the first to become a
worldwide partner for both of these global events.
Land Rover already supports both the Women’s World Cup and
the Under-20 Championships. World Rugby’s Chief Executive Officer Brett Gosper,
added it is fantastic the brand is a long-standing and proactive supporter of
“World Rugby and the International Wheelchair Rugby
Federation share a close and strong association and this deal reflects our
wider commitment to furthering the bond between all forms of rugby,” he added.
