Saturday (10 April) marked National Siblings Day, so we couldn’t let it pass without speaking to the terrific Twigg sisters who work at our factory in Halewood.
At first glance though, Sophie and Hannah Twigg, actually look more like twins than sisters, which is why they often get mistaken for each other at work.
Sophie, an associate in Pre Trim, who joined Halewood in 2016, said: “We do look very similar and it doesn’t help that there’s just under 12 months between us- 362 days to be exact- and I’m the oldest.
“I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been walking on the shop floor and people have asked me why I am not wearing my paint overalls, thinking I am Hannah who works in the Paintshop.
Hannah, Paint product coach, in Paint Manufacturing Engineering, who celebrates her 9 year work anniversary at Halewood this month, said: “It’s funny how many people have mistaken Sophie for me- we do look very alike.
“We are both really close but actually don’t see much of each other on site because as well as working in different departments, we are also on different shifts, so are a bit like passing ships in the night.”
Hannah added: “Luckily we still live with our parents so we get to catch up lots when we are at home and it’s really special that we have so much in common with our jobs.”
