Mike Burton, Halewoods armed forces rep, took part in Mission Motorsports last event of the year in December, with a day supporting troops at Donnington park off road circuit.
The day was a chance for over 150 of the Forces wounded injured and sick to get together and take part in group activities throughout the day which included race track passenger rides, a museum visit and an off road experience.
There was race track tutoring and passenger laps from volunteers with over a million pounds of super cars which made it very special for everyone. The off road experience was supported with a Bowler Tomcat, Bowler Defender and Discovery 5.
Mike spent the day giving passenger rides around the very wet and slippery off road course. He was able to show the vehicles off road abilities and share an insight into what technology is available on new vehicles and terrain response systems.
Mike told us, “The day was an amazing success and it meant a lot to some very sick service personnel.”
