At Jaguar Land Rover we are striving to create a culture where we all feel included, valued and able to contribute fully.
We know creating an environment where everyone feels valued for their individual differences, skills, background and experiences is the right thing to do and will help us be more innovative, agile and successful.
During the last week of September, to celebrate National Inclusion Week, some of colleagues from around the globe have been sharing what inclusion means to them.
Thank you so much to everyone who has posted so far. Here are some of the thoughts shared by our colleagues on what inclusion means to them:
"We are all unique, that’s what makes us special"
"Moving past assumptions and getting to know people better"
"Changing from task focused to being more people focused"
"Inclusion enables everyone to have a voice"
"Valuing all of our differences"
"Inclusion is seeing that everyone is different and that we all have different strengths that we can bring if given the opportunity"
"Never mind being asked to the party and invited to dance, it’s being comfortable enough to get our there and throw some shapes"
"Get every player on the pitch to build a winning team!"
"There’s always something more to learn about life and other people"
"Love who you want to love, be who you want to be"
"Equal access and opportunity for those who might otherwise be excluded"
"Respect my disability without objection"
"Everyone is awesome!"
If this has inspired you, why not share your thoughts too! Please either post your photos/thoughts to the All Company Yammer here or email employee@jaguarlandrover.com.
