We recently had a network natter with Eddie Boyes, Material Flow Manager (MP&L) who is looking to build a Christian network in Halewood.
The network's vision it to encourage one another in their shared faith, to pray for the needs of individuals and the business, and to bless and prosper Jaguar Land Rover.
Eddie has worked at Halewood for the last 29 years, starting as an apprentice and has worked in logistics for the past 20 years. Eddie grew up in Huyton but moved to Halewood with his family to be closer to their local church and community.
At the moment there are no local network meetings in Halewood for Christians, but this is something that Eddie is hoping to change. Eddie and others from Halewood currently join the weekly Gaydon meeting via teams, something that Eddie has enjoyed participating in, telling us: “The meetings are a great way to get together with others that share our faith. We get to support each other, share our experiences, pray and read the bible. This is a great way to help all of us live our faith in the workplace.”
Eddie would now like to encourage a local group from Halewood to get together and do something similar, where you can meet other Christians, build friendships and encourage and support each other. Eddie shared with us: “Participating in the Gaydon network has been a great experience and has allowed me to build relationships across the business. I have found that family members of colleagues from the Midlands actually go to my church in Halewood, and it’s allowed us to support each other in times of need. It would be great to start something similar in Halewood.”
