New Evoque claims Auto Motor und Sport’s Best New Design 2019 award

The second generation Range Rover Evoque has been awarded ‘Best New Design’ by the readers of the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport.

The new Evoque managed to secure 20.6 percent of the vote in the compact off-road vehicles category.

Massimo Frascella, Land Rover Design’s Creative Director, collected the Autonis Design Award on the night, adding:

“The new Range Rover Evoque shows a modern and sophisticated evolution of the first generation – and it preserves the personality of the original. 

“I would like to thank the participants in the reader poll for their appreciation of the work and endeavour of the Evoque team. This team has shown the utmost dedication, and created a true luxury model for the segment.”

More than 12,000 Auto Motor und Sport readers casted their votes, with the new Evoque following in the footsteps of the first generation vehicle, the Range Rover Sport, Jaguar E-PACE, F-PACE, XE and XF to claim the German magazine’s award.

The new Jaguar XE just missed out on the prize in the mid-sized saloon category as it came second in the poll with 21.6 percent of the vote.
