New Jaguar XEL is revealed at the Chengdu Motor Show

The new Jaguar XEL has made its first public appearance at the Chengdu Motor Show.
After the core XE received a facelift earlier this year, the stretched wheelbase version of the compact saloon specifically for the Chinese market was revealed.
The updated vehicle is set to be officially launched later this year, and has been designed to meet current consumer demands.
With the same new purposeful exterior and a more luxurious and technological advanced interior, the XEL is ready to take on the best in the saloon segment.
Retaining its beautifully judged proportions, the new car reiterates its sporting intent by incorporating design cues inspired by Jaguar’s flagship car – the F-TYPE.
Under the bonnet the new Jaguar will use locally built engines in 1.5-litre turbocharged and 2.0-litre turbocharged guises.
But it is the inclusion of an electrically adjustable steering wheel, air purification system and the configurable 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display that Jaguar China believes will attract more customers.
