Jaguar Land Rover’s new statement retailer opened to the public in Munich, Germany.
The Munchen Sud retail site occupies 20,000sqm of land and showcases the business’ design, premium quality and sustainability.
Run by The Auto Bierschneider Group, the facility has been developed with private and corporate customers in mind to offer them the complete range of vehicles, products and services Jaguar Land Rover has to offer.
Jaguar Land Rover’s CEO Prof. Dr. Ralf Speth said: “With the opening of our new statement site, we set yet another milestone for Jaguar Land Rover. Not only is it the world’s largest Jaguar Land Rover retailer, but it is also a real breakthrough project. This applies as much to service as it does to design, architecture, materials and quality.
“The customers in Munich and beyond can look forward to a very special experience.”
Dominating the front of the building is a 4,700sqm showroom, which will display the current range of Jaguars and Land Rovers.
There is also space dedicated to Special Vehicle Operations and Jaguar Land Rover Classic. The former will showcase the sportiest and most luxurious models both brands have to offer, as well as the multitude of customisation options available.
While the latter will exhibit a number of ready-to-buy high-quality classics and Reborn models. It will also work closely with the Jaguar Land Rover Classic centre in Essen to help service and restore customer vehicles.
More than 70 specially trained technicians will be tasked with servicing vehicles on-site, and will be on-hand to talk to customers directly about the work being done to their car. The Munich site also has been designed with a ‘drive-thru’ service area, where customers can drop off their vehicle and get into a courtesy car in a matter of moments.
Beyond the stylish location with seating areas and lounges designed to immerse customers into both brands, the new retailer also shows all the hallmarks of Jaguar Land Rover’s sustainable future.
The state-of-the-art facility has been awarded BREEAM sustainability certification based on how it was constructed. Inside, visitors will be greeted by Europe's largest living wall full of growing plants, while every vehicle that is cleaned will use water that has come from its on-site treatment centre. The site also houses 15 fast chargers.
Jan-Kas van der Stelt, Jaguar Land Rover Germany’s Managing Director, said: “This unique retailer showcases all the facets of our brands – from design, technology, quality and sustainability.
“Putting the customer at the centre was the key focus, as personal contact and professional advice will become even more important in a digital world.”
