Steven Hughes and some of his paint shop colleagues held a successful STEM event at Hawarden Village Church School in North East Wales last year and it was that popular the head teacher asked if they could pop back this year and do it again, supporting Schools 2019 STEM week.
Steven was joined by Ciaran Green, Keith Brownbill (all Halewood Paint AME), Andy Herod (Paint MPS) and Lewis Ferguson (Paint Launch). They needed the numbers as they had 30 eager kids on their hands who couldn’t wait to get to grips with our Lean Lego kits. The day was sponsored by IMAS (IM Automation Systems) who are one of our key suppliers. This sponsorship meant each child was given a medal, certificate and a £10 book token in recognition for their hard work and enthusiasm on the day and there was even a trophy for the winning team!
The team also donated £100 to the School who will now put this towards the purchase of some new Lego Technic equipment sets for all of the School children to use in future planned basic engineering lessons.
