Sixteen mechanical engineering students have presented their end of year projects at a special event at the Nitra plant in Slovakia.
Pupils from city have been involved in a dual education programme which gives them the perfect mix of theoretical and practical knowledge, and a solid platform for a future career in engineering.
Presenting in front of Jaguar Land Rover’s senior leaders in Nitra, each student presented the skills and knowledge they have acquired during their training. The panel commented on the quality and professionalism of their presentations.
The students also got the opportunity to meet with Russell Leslie, Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia’s Operations Director, who shared some of the wisdom he has acquired over a 25-year career.
The knowledge gained at Jaguar Land Rover will stand the students in in good stead for the final two years of their mechatronics programme.
