Owning a Jaguar I-PACE, Range Rover PHEV or Range Rover Sport PHEV has just become easier thanks to a partnership between Plugsurfing and Jaguar Land Rover.
The agreement will give owners access to more than 70,000
charging points across Europe and a simple payment method. Customers can opt
into the service, either by paying as they go or with a fixed monthly fee,
which entitles them to a universal charging card and an introduction to the
Jaguar or Land Rover Public Charging app. The mobile phone application allows
users to check where the nearest charging points are, which locations are
available, and choose the speed of charge they require.
Mick Cameron, Head of e-Mobility at Jaguar Land Rover, said:
“We are aiming to simplify the charging process through simple accessibility,
usability and payment in one solution.
“With the number of accessible charging points rapidly
growing as new operators work with Plugsurfing network in major markets
throughout Europe, it helps our customers to be working with the leading
provider.”
Available to customers at their retailer, the app is initially
being launched in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland,
Finland and the Czech Republic.
Plugsurfing CEO Jacob van Zonneveld, said that the question
on most electric vehicle owners lips is ‘where do I charge my car?’ He adds:
“Thanks to this partnership with Jaguar Land Rover, we are able to remove one
of the largest barriers to switching to an electric vehicle.
“Plugsurfing is working to influence and drive
infrastructure policy to expand the number of charging points available across
Europe for Jaguar Land Rover users.”
