Last week, nine of our employees were treated to a special recognition road trip to the Jaguar Racing Season 8 launch event, in Gaydon, as a thank you for all their hard work in going that extra mile to make Halewood a great place to work.
Before heading down the M6 to make the 2.5-hour journey to the West Midlands, the group met at Land Rover Experience Liverpool for a bite of breakfast and some off-road driving!
As well as attend the launch, they got the chance to meet the Jaguar TCS Racing team, Sam Bird and Mitch Evans, who came second in the Teams' World Championship in 2020/21- their most successful campaign to date.
Mike Hughes, Paint Shop Manager, who escorted the group to Gaydon, said: “The recent stops to production has meant we haven’t been able to do our usual Kaizen and Employee of the Month recognition events, so we wanted to do something a bit different as a thank you for everyone’s hard work.
“We have seen some incredible examples of Kaizens recently; people talking the lead in projects, as well as involvement in Team Improvement Circles, which is all helping to drive quality and efficiency at Halewood so we can deliver Refocus transformation.
“It was a pleasure to come together with everyone to celebrate all of the important work they have been doing- they should be proud of what they have achieved and deserve this recognition.”
A huge well done to the group which consisted of Frank Grundy, Craig Knight, Mike Burton, Craig Radford, David Smyth, Darren Owen, James Murphy, John Bellis and James Mulholland.
