This week is Red Cross and Red Crescent Week as Land Rover’s Humanitarian partner celebrates the birthday of its founder – Henry Dunant.
To mark the occasion each of the 190 societies organise activities to highlight their unique and life changing work in their respective countries.
This year also sees Land Rover and the Red Cross celebrate 65 years as partners, which has seen them directly helped more than one million vulnerable people across the world.
The relationship began back in 1954 when Land Rover provided the Red Cross with a Series I vehicle to be used as a mobile dispensary unit in Dubai, since then more than 120 vehicles have been given to aid the charity’s work in the field.
