The management team from the Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton left themselves red-faced for the day when they sported red noses and masks to raise money for this year’s Red Nose Day.
Red Nose Day was back on Friday 19th March and, after an incredibly difficult year across the world it felt more important than ever to have some fun and raise money to support people living incredibly tough lives.
We needed the power of funny to turn laughs into lasting change and the EMC’s management team embraced just that to raise money for the good cause!
Whether it was Quality Manager, Ian Fitzpatrick on his TEAMS meetings or Zoe Miller working from HR at home, both had one thing in common ... their red noses didn't leave their faces all day! And, if they did, they were replaced by equally embarrassing Red Nose Day face masks!
But, it was all for a good cause and the management team from EMC have shared their thanks for all your donations which raised over £1200.
Nationally, Red Nose Day raised a whopping £52,000,000 which will go to organisations including those supporting older people, women facing rising levels of domestic abuse and communities experiencing inequality who are disproportionately affected by Coronavirus.
Organisations supporting frontline workers will also receive funds.
Well done to everyone that took part and donated.
I'm incredibly proud of my team for agreeing to look silly for the day to raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause. It was great day and as well as having tremendous fun, we raised over £1200. Even those working from home sported their red noses throughout the day. A huge thanks to the team at EMC who sponsored us all to look silly.
