The CB Poppy Car was recently recognised on the national stage after winning a prestigious award for design at the 2018 British Sign Awards!
The car, wrapped in a design by Armed Forces motorsport charity Mission Motorsport, was the centrepiece of Jaguar Land Rover’s Armistice Day tribute in 2017.
The design was created and applied by ex-servicemen Lance Corporal Chris Read, Guardsman Chris Walker, Private Dan Elliott, Lance Corporal Francis Stokes and Sergeant Major David Turnbull, all of whom were medically discharged from service and have received support from Mission Motorsport.
The wrap changed colour in the light where the words from the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ can be seen running through the design, making up a series of poppies on the F-TYPE.
The car itself has clocked up thousands of miles since its completion, visiting more than half a dozen countries, visiting various historical war memorials and sites across the UK and Europe.
It also recently completed a tour of UK JLR sites as part of remembrance activities for this year’s Armistice Day which marked 100 years since the end of World War One.
