‘Phenomenal Vehicle’, ‘Outstanding’, ‘Amazing Venue’, ‘Fantastic Team’ are just a few of the words used by delegates, to describe the event taking place at the Jaguar and Land Rover Experience Team’s Eastnor venue in Herefordshire.
Used by Jaguar Land Rover since the early 1960s, the 5,000 acre private estate of Eastnor Castle is home to over 66 miles of carefully maintained test tracks, where engineers put Land Rover’s off-road capabilities through their paces and where guests have experiences people love for life, through a variety of retail experience days.
It’s one of the reasons the site was chosen by the JLR Network Excellence team to host the UK and European retailer launch for the much anticipated New Defender.
Over the coming weeks Network Excellence supported by the Eastnor team, Global Events team, Land Rover Experience driving instructors from across the UK, AMCI, Vehicle Operations and numerous catering staff will work together to deliver training that befits an icon in the making.
3,000 retail staff will visit Land Rover Experience Eastnor between now and March to receive their training, but not in the traditional “classroom” sense.
A 24 hour fully immersive programme has been developed with adventure at its core. Delegates are assigned a ‘Tribe’ and traverse on and off road, making their way to designated workstations, to fully understand the true capability of this impressive vehicle. A vehicle that appreciates its past but is not restricted by it.
The tribe leaders work hard to ensure the retailers understand the latest on- and off-road features and capabilities as they drive to the various work stations.
At these stations our team come into their own, experts in their field and passionate about the brand, the 50 strong crew of Land Rover Experience instructors and JLR Academy trainers set about sharing their vast knowledge. It is this knowledge and passion that our retailers will take with them and share with our customers.
Then it’s out into the woods to look at some key after-market accessories.
This is the New Defender, so an epic night drive ending with alfresco dining sees the end of day one. By the time the training is complete retailers leave Eastnor with the tools required to share their brand passion and excitement for the New Defender and understand first-hand the phenomenal technology the vehicle possesses.
They are now ready to share this with our customers throughout the UK and Europe thanks to our team on the ground.
