Last month a team made up of Castle Bromwich colleagues from CME and Manufacturing raised over £500 for three charities, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, MacMillan Cancer Support and Cleft Lip and Palate Association.
The Autumn Wolf which took part over a
weekend in early September saw thousands of participants charging their way
through twisting woodland trails, wading through thick mud and scaling man
made obstacles over a 10k course in Warwickshire.
The team representing the plant in our
very own wolf pack included Andy Bird, Sanka Richards,
Amjad Mahmood, Ade Hoffman, Parm Grewal, Mohan Kalair,
Christie Byrne, Oliver Jones, Abdel Fakirane, Dave Sheperd,
Brad Knibbs, Martyn Hall, Linden Branche and Luke Jones.
“The
run was awesome, despite getting caked in mud,” said Luke Jones, Production
Engineer at Castle Bromwich. “The going was tough at times, but we had great
fun as a team supporting each other through it. Between us we’ve raised over
£500 for three great charities that all do fantastic work in our community, we
couldn’t be prouder.”
A
huge congratulations to the team, who are the latest group at Castle Brom using
fitness challenges to support good causes whilst looking after their own health
too.
